National Title for Galway Bay Seafoods
Galway Bay Seafoods are delighted to announce that they have been awarded ‘Best Display’ for their retail seafood counter display. This national title was awarded to Galway Bay Seafoods by Bord Iascaigh Mhara, the Irish Seafood marketing board, (BIM) Seafood Circle for 2012.
The BIM Seafood Circle recognises and awards hospitality and retail businesses that consistently deliver the highest standards of seafood and service to their customers. With 219 members, to win a national award in this group is highly prestigious for Galway Bay Seafoods. The award is a credit to the staff in the retail shop who has always demonstrated creativeness along with their strong work ethic when setting up the displays daily. Customers at Galway Bay Seafoods can always expect to see something out of the ordinary when they visit our shop. This is not the first national title awarded to Galway Bay Seafoods. They were awarded ‘Seafood Specialist of the Year’ in 2010 along with being EIQA National award winners for food and hygiene in 2010 and national finalists in 2011.

There is an option for customers to sign up for a loyalty card in-store to avail of 10% off all purchases. Galway Bay Seafoods is also home to Irelands only dedicated Seafood Cookery School. Classes run every Saturday and aim to inspire confidence in seafood cooking in an enjoyable and fun atmosphere. Galway Bay Seafoods has its own chef working in store to help guide you and answer any questions that you may have about how to cook certain fish or if you are simply looking for new ideas. Innovation of product offerings is something which Galway Bay Seafoods does consistently and has recently launched ‘bake in a bag’ fish. They marinade the fillet of your choice and place into the bag ready to cook, once finished simply plate up and throw away the bag. A very popular choice has been cod fillet baked in garlic marinade, taking only 2.5 minutes in the microwave. Cooking fish has never been so simple. With an abundance of free parking right outside the door a visit to the docks is simply a must.
